Holy Spirit Catholic School Division is comprised of 16 schools and 1 outreach centre within the following six communities: Coaldale, Lethbridge, Picture Butte, Pincher Creek, Bow Island, and Taber. Program Information:
For information about our programs and age-related guidelines:
- Early Learning Programs are for children aged 3 and 4.
- Kindergarten Programs are for children aged 5 on or before December 31st of the current school year.
- Grade 1 registrants must be 6 years of age on or before December 31st of the current school year.
- French Immersion Programming is also available. Enrollment starts:
- in Kindergarten/Grade 1 at École St. Mary School in Lethbridge.
- in Grade 1 at St. Michael's School in Pincher Creek.

If you are new to Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, you will need to create a SchoolEngage Account in order to register your child.
NOTE: If you have a child attending a school in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, you already have a SchoolEngage Account. Please fill out siblings section to ensure they receive priority if you already have a child enrolled in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division.

Once your account is created, you will have access to the Registration Forms. You will need the following documentation in a .pdf format to complete your registration:
- A copy of the student's birth certificate or other documentation related to citizenship/residency
- A Baptismal Certificate, if available
- Custody/Guardianship documents, if applicable
If you are unable to upload the required documentation, or need additional assistance, contact your neighbourhood school. If this documentation is not received, the processing of your application may be delayed.
Parents/guardians are reminded to contact their local Community Health Office to arrange for their children's pre-school immunization boosters.
Current Family Registration
The Registration Update Process for Current Students
Families who already have students in our system should expect an email during the week of January 13-17, 2025 asking that the online “Registration Update Form” be completed for each child who will be attending during the 2025/2026 school year.
This pre-populated update allows us to make sure the information we have on file is accurate and that any legal declarations, preferences and consents are renewed. It also allows our schools to plan for the upcoming school year.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Parents/guardians who are hoping to register younger siblings new to the division will have the opportunity to submit a "New Student Registration Form" at the same time that they are re-registering older students.
- Students transitioning from elementary to junior high, or junior high to high school, will have their designated school assigned to them in the "Registration Update Form."
- Ensure that you are filling in the correct form. Please complete the assigned "2025-2026 K-12 Registration Update Form" OR "2025-2026 Early Learning Program Registration Update Form." If you believe you have been assigned an incorrect form, please contact your current school.
Getting Started
If you have a child attending a school in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, you already have a SchoolEngage Account. SchoolEngage is used to add students to your account, update your information, and find forms that you've been asked to fill out. To access your SchoolEngage Account, first log into PowerSchool:

Once you are logged in, click on the "School Engage" option on the bottom left corner of the screen:
Registering a New Student / Adding a New Student to Your Account
To add a student to your account:
1. Log into your SchoolEngage Account through PowerSchool.
2. Select the Add Student tab from the choices on the left. An Add Student screen will pop up.
3. Enter the new student's first name, middle name (optional), last name and birthdate into the Add Student screen.
4. Select the Save button on the bottom right corner of the Add Student screen.
5. Now that the student has been added to your account, they will appear under the Students tab on the left menu.
6. Select the student's name under the Students tab. Their information and the forms available to you for them will appear.
7. Click on the green +New button to the right of the appropriate form and begin filling it in with your child's information.
NOTE: The Early Learning Program Registration Form is for children ages 3 and 4.
The Grades K-12 Registration Form is for children 5 and older.

Registration Update
The school division will annually assign a Registration Update Form to parents/guardians. This allows us to comply with Alberta Education requirements and ensures that student information is accurate, legal declarations are renewed, and preferences/consents are updated. This also allows our schools to plan for the upcoming school year.
To access the Registration Update Form for each of the students associated with your account:
1. Log into your SchoolEngage Account through PowerSchool.
2. Select the Student tab from the choices on the left.
3. Select the name of the student whose information you are reviewing under the Students tab. Their information and the forms available to you for them will appear.
4. Click on the blue Open button to the left of the appropriate Registration Update Form and begin reviewing the information provided.
